August 19, 2009: - - Huntington BeachFuture Fins team rider Dillon Perillo was in Japan, where he was busy taking the win at the Oakley Pro Junior Global Challenge Japan Qualifier.
Riding his AM1 BLACK STIX 2.0 and surfing tiny 2-3 waves left over from Typhoon Morakot at Tsurugasaki Beach in Chiba, Dillon, who’s currently rated first in the ASP North America Pro Junior rankings, chalked up 13.75 in the finals to narrowly take the win. Hot off a solid finish in HB a few weeks ago, Dillon upped the ante in Japan with a win. Dillon said, “I feel great right now, my equipment is working unreal, I’m stoked!”
The win gives Dillon entry in the 2009 Oakley Pro Junior Global Challenge Final in Bali, Indonesia, October 7-17. There, he’ll compete for $75,000
