Alejo Muniz rides Futures Black Stix to victory at the ASP Prime Hang Loose Pro

Futures team rider Alejo Muniz has made his intentions for 2011 clear, with a championship run a the Hang Loose Pro, in Fernando de Noronha, Brazil. The 2011 ASP World Tour rookie won his first Prime event, only one week prior to starting his rookie campaign on the World Tour. Throughout the event, Alejo was a standout, highlighted during his Rd of 24 heat vs Tim Boal, where he got a deep frontside barrel for a near perfect 9.87. In the final, Alejo was dominant, locking in his back-up score on his opening ride and ultimately sealing the deal in the shifty beach break conditions with a 7.17 score for a series of backhand hits.
